Recipes

None of these did I make up but thought I would share recipes with other glider owners in one spot. Here are some of my suggies favorites!




Veggie Relish
1 - 32 ounce bag of mixed vegetables, defrosted (green beans, sweetcorn, carrots and peas)
4 - fluid ounces of white grape juice
4 - table spoons of honey

Put half of everything into blender and blend until consistency of relish, do same with other half and mix together.
Freeze in ice cube trays and give 1 cube per glider.


Fruit Smoothie

 5-6 pound bag of mixed fruit,
4 oz baby white grapefruit juice(or almost any other juices)
2-4 tablespoons of honey,
1/2 cup of French Vanilla Yogurt

Just defrost your bag of fruit (if frozen) & drain the juice, and then place in blender & blend until smooth.
Pour into ice cube trays and then serve 1/2 cube to 1 cube per night per a single to a pair of gliders.



Glider Crack 

1 egg scrambled with 1 tbs milk
1/2 half avacado
1 6 oz can chicken breast, well rinsed
1/2 tsp (correct me if this is wrong) rep cal
I also add between 1/8 and 1/4 cup of HPW powder to mine, and 1 capsule (400 Iu) Vit E. (optional)
Mash it all together with a fork (using water to thin it down some) until it's all blended together.


Sugarglider Birthday Cake

 1 cup Bisquik (or some other type of similar mix)
2/3 cup Milk
1 Egg
1 Tbsp Dried fruit of some type
(I used Sunmaid Fruit Bits, and took out the rasins)
1 Tbsp Insects
(mealworms, grasshoppers, ect.)
Optional: A pinch of bee pollen

Mix up the Bisquik and pre-heat oven to 375 degrees,
Add in the fruit and insects , Put batter in muffin tins and
bake for about 12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean, Cool and watch them go at it!
Yeild: 9 Large Muffins worth. You will have a lot left over.


Frosting: 

Acacia Gum with a little water


Glider Treat 

1 cup oatmeal (Quaker Oats)
1 can baby food (gliders preferred flavor)
1 individual sized plain apple sauce
1 egg scrambled (No butter or spray)

If mixture is too thick add some apple juice Mix together,place in ice cube tray and freeze.
Serve  half a cube or make cubes smaller for one sugar glider.




Glider Grandpa's Shredded Wheat Pancakes
7-8 crushed plain shredded wheat
1 egg

Whisk together and cook like a pancake



Super Charged Egg Smoothie
1 hard boiled egg, shell removed
1/4 cup special K cereal
1/4 cup apple juice or Libby's Kerns nectar with calcium added


Blend all ingredients well in blender/food processor. Serve immediately 



Homemade Glider Nutri-Nectar
Frozen fruit, any variety
Water
1/2 tablespoon non-fat yogurt 

Blend all ingredients in blender/food processor to a thin liquid consistency 



Chicken Pot Pie
1/2 cup diced chicken breast, boiled, skinned, boneless
1 1/2 cups frozen mixed vegetable
2 raw eggs
1 small sweet potato, boiled, peeled and chopped 

In a mixing bowl, combine ingredients well. Spray mini muffin pans with Pam and fill to top. Back 20-25 mins or until beginning to brown at 350 degrees 



Chicken Egg Drop Soup
1 chicken breast, skinned, diced
2-2 1/2 cups water
3/4 cup frozen mixed vegetables
1 raw egg, mixed well

In saucepan, boil chicken for 10 minutes. Add mixed vegetables. Cook an additional 10 minutes. Bring to a boil. Slowly stir raw egg, stirring only in one direction. Turn off heat as soon as you start pouring in the egg. Let cool and serve. Before serving, sprinkle with vitamins, if desired. 



Free-For-All Fruit Smoothie Mix
1 1/4 cup frozen fruits
3/4 cup water
1 1/2 cups apple juice
Gerber Baby Rice Cereal

In blender/food processor, blend frozen berries with juice and water. While blending, add rice cereal until ingredients have the consistency of a malt. May be frozen 



Chicken Apple Mango Peach Crunch
1 small apple, peeled, diced
1 chicken breast, skinned, boiled, boneless
1/4 cup Mott's Healthy Harvest Unsweetened Peach Medley Applesauce
1 1/2 cups Honey Nut Cheerios
1 egg

In mixing bowl, mix ingredients well. On nonstick cookie sheet, place spoon-size balls one inch apart, and bake 20 mins at 300 degrees



Fruit Gummies
2 strawberries
  1apple peeled
2/3 cups white flour
1/2 cup water

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Dice and chop all ingredients into small
pieces and pour into a medium sized bowl. Smash ingredients until a
mush is formed.
Drain a bit of water if too much is left over. place teaspoon sized treats onto
a cooking sheet about 1 inch apart. Place in oven and bake for 6-10
minutes or until brown. When done, let set for 3 minutes and then feed
 

Baby Diet Recipe 
(this is a great recipe for the rejected joeys or young eaters)
1 boiled egg, shell removed
  4 oz. bottle pre mixed Gerber Fruit Juice with Yogurt
4 oz. jar Chicken with Apples baby food (NO GARLIC OR ONION)
  1/4 cup dry baby cereal (mixed, oatmeal, or rice with fruit bits)
2 teaspoons vitamin supplement we provide with extra supplement for Mom's.

Blend well in blender/food processor, pour into ice cube trays and FREEZE.  It will be the consistency of ice cream.  One cube in ice cube tray is about 2 tablespoons.
